Alyssa is a one-of-a-kind and incredibly talented producer. She brings an incredible sense of organization and diligence to her projects. She relates brilliantly with clients across the board, from 1-person teams to larger, diverse studios. And she does it all with a sense of humor, community, and love for her colleagues.

Beyond publishing production - which she regularly handled solo from top to bottom - Alyssa fundamentally helped shaped pipelines and corporate culture. She championed specific tool use at the company; led community building initiatives for an entirely remote studio; and built marketing pipelines from scratch that will carry us into the next several years.

Importantly, Alyssa is always ready to speak truth to power with tact and aplomb, and her insights have steered the Akupara ship for years. She has left very big shoes to fill, and will have a similar seismic impact wherever she lands in the future. 

Alyssa is a fantastic lead producer, and I highly recommend working with her. She was our 3rd party producer at Skullbot Games for Akupara, and was highly adept at working cross-discipline across the various publishing and development functions. She was able to coordinate and keep on track everything from marketing and community/content creator efforts to QA, localization, and cross-platform and outsourced development work.

I'd definitely vouch for her in any of these areas and remain very impressed with her calmness, drive, and ability to identify and resolve issues - an absolute force multiplier on production.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Alyssa on several publishing projects. Under her guidance, we championed many of our projected goals, exceeded expectations, and avoided catastrophe. She draws from her library of experience to spice up any pitch, elevate any marketing idea, and collaborate effectively in their execution.

Alyssa’s ability to bring value to any project is immeasurable. She is the backbone of our team. When I hired for this role I needed someone who I could fully rely on to manage the company's projects, while I focused on running the studio. Alyssa has more than exceeded my expectations, and I hope remains a core pillar of our company as we continue to grow. 

Alyssa was the first producer I ever worked with (before I ever worked as a producer), and immediately became a role model for me. On a very difficult project, Alyssa maintained structure and organization, keeping development moving forward while constantly problem solving and prioritizing the team. I got to be part of an incredible company culture she created and maintained. Alyssa’s skillset is something all producers should strive for - I know I do. 

 Alyssa is an outstanding producer. She's highly organized, able to prioritize work effectively and communicate priorities clearly to teams, and able to roll gracefully with the slings and arrows any production naturally imposes and able to work with the team to figure out effective solutions. I found in working extensively with Alyssa that I could focus on the immediate work I needed to get done, and count on her to maintain awareness of the parallel threads underway and ensure that everyone's work was being done at appropriate times and in appropriate ways to support each other. When we took a step back to plan releases and sprints, her understanding of the priorities and dependencies was clear and well-founded. I can think of very few producers I've been able to trust to this degree.

Additionally, and I believe this is critically important to the health of a project and a team, she doesn't let ego get entangled with the work. She communicates with team members, understands the work they're doing, and understands that producing, when done well, focuses on enabling everyone to work and coordinate efficiently, and isn't about being anybody's boss, defending territory, or otherwise subverting the needs of the organization. Because of this, team members trust her, and trust that the priorities being communicated are founded in genuine understanding of the work to be done and a desire to help it get done well. I wish this weren't as rare as it is, but Alyssa is one of those rare producers who understands this.

Finally, Alyssa brings an uncommon mix of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to the work. As a creative artist herself, she respects and understands the process by which creative work gets done, gets when it's important to plan time for iteration and discovery, and gets when it's time to make a decision and commit. As an entrepreneur herself, she understands how the work of individuals and teams contributes to the health and direction of the organization itself, and is able to view the organization and the marketplace in which it competes with a clarity that she's then able to translate back to meaningful action and prioritization within the team. These qualities, too, are very rare in my experience.
